Giving Back & Making an Impact
Peer Teaching
I’m passionate about using my skills to support others and contribute to meaningful causes. As a peer teacher for ENGR 216 at Texas A&M, I mentor fellow students in engineering principles and programming, helping them develop a strong foundation in problem-solving and technical skills. This role has allowed me to guide others through challenging coursework and encourage their growth in a collaborative learning environment.
Women in Tech
I’m also actively involved in organizations that support women in technology, including Aggie Women in Computer Science (AWICS) and the Society of Women Engineers (SWE). Through these groups, I participate in mentorship programs, workshops, and outreach events, helping to foster an inclusive and supportive community for students pursuing STEM careers.
Research & Sustainability
Beyond mentoring, I strive to apply my technical skills to environmental initiatives. My research at the Urban Resilience.AI Lab focused on predicting flood-induced pollutant dispersion, providing data-driven insights to protect vulnerable communities in Texas. Similarly, my personal project, WasteWise, is an AI-powered web app that helps users classify waste and track recycling habits, promoting sustainability through technology. I see service as a way to grow personally and professionally while supporting others, whether it’s mentoring students, participating in STEM outreach, or using technology to solve real-world problems.
